Welcome! I’m Aaron Carotta.

Diagnosed with cancer in 2008, I found myself with a ‘wake up call,’ as I describe it. Seeking a more purposed path, I was gifted the book ‘The 4-Hour Workweek’ and did my my own case study in 60 days.

After receiving advice and recognition from the author, Tim Ferriss, I started this blog to document my newfound lease on life— Adventure Aaron was born. Over the course of the next few years I found ways to continue to travel and find purpose in philanthropic work, creating international TV programs that gave back to the communities they explored, and got closer to God.

Eventually, I went all-in on adventure and doing expeditions. In 2010, I traveled the world with just the clothes on my back. In 2016, I paddled my canoe from Montana to the Atlantic Ocean. Now I’m rowing my ocean rowboat around the world, continuing to ‘travel true’ while using my platform to give back to the communities I meet along the way.

My ultimate goal is to help others to embrace their own adventure and find a greater purpose—what life seems to be all about.

My Approach

Less Talk, More Action

I believe in leading with your own action steps.

Make It Work

Don’t get caught up in the first step, recognize it’s the hardest, and just go.
